SUMMER ARTS FOR KIDS AND TEENS!

Still looking for something your child or teen can do this summer? Check out our new Summer Arts for Kids and Teens program, right here in central Petaluma. Our light-filled, air conditioned art studio is the perfect place to spend a summer morning or afternoon making artful creations. Classes begin June 21 and continue through July 30. Our new schedule of summer art classes are designed for kids ages 7 – 11, and teens ages 12 – 16. Sessions include fresh and updated versions of our popular “Make Art Like a Famous Artist” class, along with ceramics, mosaics, printmaking and more. Docent Tours and Training at the Arts Center

The Petaluma Arts Council is offering free docent-guided tours of current Arts Center exhibitions for third and fourth-grade classes. Tours are 1 to 1.5 hours long, and include art games and a take-home art project. Click on the following PDF document for more details: DocentTours_0210.

If you are interested in being a children’s art docent for our tours, we offer one to two-hour docent training. It’s easy, fun and you get to introduce the arts to local school children. For more information, call 707-762-5600 (press option 7), and leave a message for Sue Borsian, our terrific Docent Coordinator.
