About the Program
For the past seven years, The Petaluma Arts Council has organized and co-sponsored the annual El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival in mid-October through early November. To celebrate this well-loved cultural holiday, artwork and altars are exhibited throughout the city by more than a dozen participating local businesses. Other events include storytelling, folkloric dance, a concert of traditional Mexican music, film and a highly successful community workshop to make sugar skulls for the altars. New this year is a mask making workshop and much more!
