Call For Entries
PAC's Art Around Town at Petaluma Valley Hospital
Show dates: August 11 - November 10, 2010
Theme: All Photography—see criteria below.
Submission Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2010
Criteria for Entry:
- Artists may submit up to five pieces.
- Works must be appropriate for a hospital venue. Please, no nudes or violent images. Keep in mind that we are encouraging healing in our community.
- All artwork on paper MUST be under glass, framed appropriately.
- Artwork must be at least 14 inches in width and length.
- Accepted work must be on view for the duration of the exhibit. (Arrangements will be made if a buyer is unable to wait for the closing date of the show.)
- All work must be securely wired. The top of the wire should be three inches below the top of the painting. Saw tooth hooks and anything but wire will not be accepted.
- Attach a label to the back, upper right side including the title, artist, name, phone number, and medium.
- All sales transactions will be between the artist and buyer.
- In lieu of a commission, a 15% tax-deductible donation to the Petaluma Arts Council is requested.
Submission Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2010.
Mail your entries to: Petaluma Arts Council, Art Around Town at Petaluma Valley Hospital, P.O. Box 750661 Petaluma, CA 94975-0661. Applications must be received by Friday, July 31, 2010. If you mail your entries, please include an SASE for notice of acceptance.
OR email entries to bob@alwaysangels.com and you will be notified of acceptance by email. Receipt of e-mail entries (only) will be acknowledged. If you do not receive an email acknowledging your submission within three days, please resend.
Jury results will be e-mailed to all artists by August 3. Please have your work READY to hang to avoid unnecessary delays.

For any submission, whether by mail or e-mail, send photographs of specific work to be entered. Include: framed size, price, name, current address, phone, and email address.
Please note: Files submitted by email MUST have the same name as the name of the art work. For example, if a piece you submit is named Petaluma Sunset, the attachment you submit should be named Petaluma Sunset.

53rd Annual Art in the Park
Sponsored by the Petaluma Arts Association, this annual event features more than 60 local artists. Open to all visual artists. Accepting booth space reservations and Art in the Park Raffle donations (proceeds go to support art in the local schools and community).

- Deadline to enter/reserve a booth: September 1, 2010
- Entry fees vary depending on reservation date; discount for PAA members.

Mapworks: The Map as Art
Exhibition Dates: Sept. 16 - Oct. 23, 2010
A juried exhibition sponsored by the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. Seeking art which references maps and mapmaking. This may be done directly or indirectly, metaphorically or conceptually. The terrain may be (but is not limited to) geographic, psychological, political, historical, cultural, mathematical, imaginary or personal. All media is acceptable, including installation. Video and film should be submitted as a DVD in loops no longer than 4 minutes; selected artists will need to supply their own equipment for display.
Entry Fee required.
