Art Around Town at Petaluma Valley Hospital

Show dates: Wednesday, May 14  - Wednesday August 13, 2008

Theme: Artist's Choice! This is an opportunity to show your favorite two-dimensional art to our healing hospital community. As usual, please use discretion in subject matter, as we must adhere to hospital guidelines (see below).

Criterion for Entry:

• Artists may submit up to five pieces.
• Works must be appropriate for a hospital venue. Please, no nudes or violent images. Keep in mind that we are encouraging healing in our community. Art chosen to be shown is at the discretion of the hospital committee.
• Artwork can be no smaller than 14 inches in width or length.
• Accepted work must be on view for the duration of the exhibit. (Arrangements will be made if a buyer is unable to wait for the closing date of the show.)
• All work must be securely wired. The top of the wire should be three inches below the top of the painting. Saw tooth hooks and anything but wire will not be accepted. Work that arrives not securely wired may be refused.
• Attach a label to the back, upper right side including the title, artist, name, phone number and medium.
• All sales transactions will be between the artist and buyer.
• In lieu of a commission, a 15% tax-deductible donation to the Petaluma Arts Council is requested.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2008

Artwork will be juried by photographs or emailed images. Please include your name, address, current phone number and email address.

Mail your photo entries to: Petaluma Arts Council, c/o Marilee Ford, 148 Edith St., Petaluma, CA  94952. Applications must be post-marked April 30, 2008. Please include a SASE for notice of acceptance.
