About the Program
The Art Around Town Program connects members of the Petaluma
Arts Council who are visual artists with venues in
the community interested in displaying artwork. Our current venues are the Petaluma Valley Hospital, the Mayor's Office at City Hall, and various downtown locales during the El Dia de los Muertos festivities. It is the intent of Art Around
Town to get the work of as many PAC members as possible
out into the public. We usually rotate artwork in the venues throughout
the year.
Artist
Registry
The Art Around Town committee keeps an ongoing registry of the
artists interested in participating in the program. The registry consists
of a three-ring binder filled with 8.5 x 11 pages. Each artist is provided
with one page to showcase their work. If you would like to exhibit your
art in a Petaluma community space, you need to have a good presentation
of your current work in the Artist Registry.
What should you send?
There are two
ways to be included in the registry:

You may design your own 8.5
x 11 page, paying careful attention to the guidelines below. Pages
with missing or incomplete information will not be included in the
registry. We recommend that you include no more than 6 images on your
page.
OR - Send up to 6 photos or slides and the registry coordinator will make a page for you. We recommend that you select images that are representative of your current work. Please include a SASE so that we may return your photos or slides to you, and remember to label all images with the title, size and medium.
What information needs to be included?
- your name, phone number, email address and website address if you have one.
- Every image of your work needs to include the title, size and medium. This is important.
Artist must be a member of the Petaluma Arts
Council to be in the registry.
There is no cost for entering the registry.
All sales transactions will be strictly between the artist and the buyer.
In lieu of commission, a 15% tax deductible donation to PAC is requested.
All work will be exhibited at the discretion of the business owner.
Keep your information current, update as often as you like.

We need a picture too!
Images need to be .jpg format, 300 x 300 pixels, minimum 300 dpi, emailed to Marya@petalumaartscouncil.org. In your email, please attach the image, and state the artist, the title of the work, the local show dates and location, and the medium.
